When I lived in Walton, I lived in a 14 x 60 trailer. It had a "real" shingle roof and wood siding (not a good thing where you get 100" of rain a year). My new place is a 14 x 70 trailer, which is all metal. It's interesting the difference in the snow, ice and rain sounds.
We're (the dogs and I) all toasty - the woodstove is burbling happily away.
I was warm last night in bed - my real bed is still in storage, so I'm sleeping on my "spare" bed - a queen, double-height air mattress. The first night I slept here, the single sleeping bag between the bottom sheet and the mattress wasn't enough to keep me warm (the air in the mattress is cold!). So I retrieved my 2nd sleeping bag, which did the trick. I was cozy and slept very well.
Moving a bit at a time has its merits and detractions. Until all my stuff is here, I won't feel completely settled. However, not having to push it right now (recovering from bronchitis) is a blessing.

We went from an old single-wide metal mobile home to a large double-wide wood manufactured home. I miss the sound of the wind and rain. The new place is so well built I hardly hear it. Hope you are feeling better and staying warm.
I'm late to the party, but enjoying catching up! Tang looks amazing and safe is good. If you ever haul in around the Ashland area, you MUST come up for a ride in the monument area with her.
I'm on the fence about moving in slowly, it has pluses and minuses. Sometimes I've enjoyed the process others, I just want to get it over with and "be" somewhere.

Nothing like a wood burning stove!! Moving in fast or slow at least you have a nice warm place of your own. About the alfalfa and chickens I feed from bales. Not sure they would eat the rabbit pellets but that sounds like a good way to go. I have alfalfa for my goats so it's handy and maybe less expensive.
Been out of town visiting my grandchildren and trying to catch up on favorite blogs! Hope you feel better soon and it probably will help when you get your "real" bed out of storage. That air is indeed cold! I love your new horse - what a beauty!
